Terms of service
These terms are a contract between you and Rewinity Labs (“Rewinity”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
- You must have the right to sync contacts you upload and to invite people you message.
- One person per account; no shared or automated accounts.
The service
Rewinity is a consent-based network introduction platform. You can sync contacts (hashed), search by tags and intent through your graph, send paid or free introductions, post quick asks to your direct contacts, broadcast unmet needs as bounties, save consented connections to your rolodex, chat in-app after acceptance, rate connections, earn and spend points, redeem rewards, invite friends, and optionally use matrimony matching. We do not guarantee that any search returns a match, that any introduction is accepted, or the quality of services exchanged offline between users.
Your responsibilities
- Use Rewinity only for lawful, legitimate purposes (hiring, vendors, professional help, personal introductions, matrimony where enabled, etc.).
- Respect others’ consent — no harassment, threats, spam, or misrepresentation.
- Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, bulk-harvest, or automate the platform.
- Do not impersonate others or misstate your identity, skills, or affiliations.
- Do not use Rewinity to target minors, run political campaigns, or distribute illegal content.
- Honour channel choices — do not bypass blocks, mutes, or declined introductions.
Our commitments
- Operate the service as described in our privacy policy and privacy posture.
- Never sell your contact graph for advertising.
- Investigate abuse reports and enforce these terms.
- Notify you by email when we suspend or permanently ban an account, where we have a valid address.
Contacts & discoverability
Syncing contacts is optional but required for full network search. Discoverability is off by default for every contact. You choose who may bridge you in search. You can pause your entire presence, limit how many hops away you appear, and revoke choices at any time.
Search & introductions
Search is tag- and intent-based through your trusted graph — not a public directory and not reverse lookup by phone number. Results show masked cards with social proof (e.g. who vouched for the match), not raw hop arithmetic alone.
Sending an introduction delivers your brief through the chain to the target, who may accept or decline. Direct mutual contacts (one hop) are free. Longer chains incur a fee quoted before you pay.
Quick asks & bounty broadcasts
Quick asks are free requests shown only to your direct (one-hop) mutual contacts. They expire and are automatically deleted after 24 hours, are rate-limited, and must follow the same content rules as the rest of the platform. A reply that suggests one of the responder’s own contacts converts into a normal (quoted-and-paid) introduction — the suggestion itself creates no obligation on anyone.
Bounty broadcasts let you send an unmet search need to people up to three hops away. Unlike masked search, a bounty reveals your first name and your need to its recipients — by posting it you consent to that disclosure. Invite messages to people outside Rewinity (e.g. via WhatsApp) are composed for you but sent by you from your own account; you are responsible for whom you send them to. Bounties create no payment obligation — any resulting introduction goes through the normal quoted flow.
Saved people (your Circle)
You may save someone to your rolodex only after a real accepted introduction with them, and only with their consent — they see the request, may decline silently, and may revoke at any time (the entry then disappears from your list). Notes you attach are private to you and are never shown to that person; do not store offensive or unlawful content in them. Circle entries are removed when either account is deleted.
Payments
Paid introductions are charged in your market’s currency through Razorpay when you confirm send. The fee pays for reach through the chain — not a guaranteed acceptance. If the target declines the request, the intro fee is not refunded: the service you paid for (delivery of your request through the chain) has been performed. The quoted price, and this no-refund-on-decline rule, are shown before you confirm payment.
Refunds & failed payments
- Failed or duplicate charges — if money is debited but no introduction is created (payment failure, timeout, double charge), the amount is refunded to the original payment method. Razorpay typically credits refunds within 5–7 working days depending on your bank.
- Decline by the target — not refundable, as described above.
- Errors on our side — if a technical fault on our side charged you incorrectly, contact us and we will refund to source.
- To raise a payment issue, email [email protected] with the payment reference from the app.
Points & rewards
Points are a non-transferable loyalty currency with indicative value shown in the app — not cash, not legal tender, and not transferable between accounts. Points cannot be purchased; they are only earned through platform activity. You may earn points by bridging introductions, successful referrals, reviews, weekly helpfulness streaks, and other actions we publish in the app. Points expire 12 months after the earn date and are subject to an annual earn cap. Redeem for partner gift cards (instant digital delivery where configured) or custom rewards fulfilled manually by our team. Claiming a custom reward holds points until approval; declined claims refund the hold. High-value redemptions may require identity verification. We may claw back points earned through abuse.
Matrimony
Matrimony is an optional mode governed by the same consent architecture. Profiles stay masked until introductions are accepted at both ends. You must opt in and confirm you meet eligibility requirements. Do not use matrimony to harass, misrepresent marital status, or circumvent blocks. We may disable matrimony for accounts that abuse it.
Referrals & invites
You may share invite links or templated messages to people not yet on Rewinity. Referral credit follows our published rules (e.g. first inviter wins for a given contact hash; rewards when the invitee completes onboarding). Do not spam invites or misrepresent Rewinity in outreach.
Chat
Accepted introductions open an in-app chat thread. In-app chat is always available for accepted intros. Threads have a message limit designed as a warm-up; you may share other channels inside chat when you choose. You are responsible for content you send. We may remove content or suspend accounts for illegal or abusive messages.
Ratings
Ratings should be honest and related to real interactions. Fake or retaliatory reviews may lead to removal or account action.
App, device & account security
Rewinity moves real money and real contact-graph data, so we run technical safeguards you agree to by using the service:
- App & device verification — the app may verify that it is a genuine, unmodified build on a genuine device using Google Play Integrity and Apple App Attest. We may require a valid verification for sensitive actions (sign-up, payments, reward redemptions) and may decline those actions on rooted, jailbroken, or modified devices or where verification fails. The rest of the app remains usable.
- Minimum app version — we may retire old builds (for example after a security fix). Below the minimum version the app requires an update before it continues to work.
- No tampering — do not bypass, probe, or interfere with security controls (certificate pinning, attestation, rate limits), misrepresent your device identity, or run modified clients. Doing so is a material breach and may lead to suspension and forfeiture of points earned through it.
- Sessions — you can review signed-in devices and sign out everywhere in Settings. We may revoke sessions or require re-verification when we suspect account compromise.
- Screenshots — on sensitive screens (search results, chat, payments) the app blocks or blanks screen capture where the platform allows it.
Account deletion & termination
You may request deletion in Settings → Privacy. Your account is deactivated and hidden immediately; personal data is erased after a 30-day grace period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Wallet balances held in good faith may be refunded where appropriate; points earned through abuse may be forfeited.
Disclaimers
Rewinity is a discovery and introduction platform, not an employer, agency, matchmaking bureau, or party to offline deals between users. We do not vet every user, guarantee outcomes, or warrant fitness for a particular purpose. Use your own judgment when meeting or hiring through introductions.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rewinity is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from user interactions or third-party services. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) ₹5,000, except where law forbids such limits.
Governing law
India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in-app and/or by email with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Grievance redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about content, accounts, or our handling of these terms may be raised with our Grievance Officer:
