Isn't this just selling my contacts?

No. Phone numbers are hashed on your device before sync — raw digits never leave your phone. We store the names from your address book only to label your own contacts on your account. We do not sell, rent, or display phone lists. Someone can only reach you through a consent-gated introduction, and you control who in your book is discoverable (default off).

What does the chain see about me?

Only the target sees your intro brief and can accept or decline. People in the middle of the chain do not get your search query or full message. When a paid intro is sent, bridges earn points and may get a notification — they never see anyone's phone number from the chain. Points for bridging are credited when the intro is sent, not when the target replies.

Can anyone see my phone number before accepting?

No. You choose discoverability per synced contact (off by default). You control whether you appear in search at all, and how many hops away you can be found. The target must accept the intro before contact details unlock — then they choose which channels to share (in-app chat, WhatsApp, phone, or email). Numbers are never shown pre-accept.

I have 4,000 contacts. Will I be spammed?

No. Discoverability is off by default for every contact you sync. You toggle people on one by one or use bulk controls in Contacts. You can pause your entire presence in one tap, turn off push notifications, and limit how many hops away you appear in search.

How does search work?

Accepted Answer

You search by intent and tags — "video editor in Bangalore," "chartered accountant," matrimony preferences — not by typing names or scrolling contacts. Results are people reachable through your trusted graph, ranked by relevance and proximity (hop distance). Each card shows a masked first name, route shape, your direct contact on the path when there is one, and the intro price. Browsing or reverse-looking up phone numbers is not possible.

What if the target declines?

You pay for reach, not a guaranteed yes. When you send a paid intro, the fee covers delivering your request through the chain; if the target declines or the request expires, that fee is not refunded. Choose your hop budget carefully — direct mutual contacts (one hop) are always free.

Question 7

How do I earn and spend points?

Accepted Answer

Earn by bridging paid introductions (when someone sends an intro through you) and by inviting friends who complete onboarding. Spend points on brand vouchers, mobile recharge, charity, and other rewards in the in-app catalog. Points expire after twelve months and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Is it free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes to join, sync contacts, and search your network. In-app chat opens only after an intro is accepted — there is no open messaging to strangers. You only pay when you send a paid introduction through the chain (hop 1 — a direct mutual contact — is always free). There is no monthly subscription.

Question 9

Can I use Rewinity for matrimony?

Yes — opt in from Settings → Matrimony profile (separate from your professional profile). Matrimony matches use the same trusted graph: search cards stay masked (age band, coarse details) and contact details unlock only after both sides accept an introduction. If someone opts in to show photos, those may appear on masked cards before accept — never phone numbers.

How do invites work?

Share your personal invite link or send a templated message to friends not on Rewinity yet. When they sign up and finish onboarding, you earn referral points. Invites use privacy-preserving contact matching — we never message people on your behalf without your action.

Rewinity is built for iOS and Android. Sign-up is phone-verified (OTP). Use the download links on our website for the current App Store and Google Play builds.
